Day 1: Arrival into Casablanca
- You will be greeted at the airport and escorted to your accommodation
- Short walk along the Cornish seaside and around the Art Deco of Casablanca
- A relaxing evening and a drink at the famous Ricks Café
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat
- Marvel and explore the impressive Hassan Second Mosque – The largest in Africa.
- Visit the Habous district to admire the exterior of the Royal Palace and the local markets.
- Head off to Rabat and visit the Hassan Tower – the unfinished mosque of the 12th century.
- Unearth the incredibly preserved Kasbah of Oudaya Kasbah and theChellah Necropolis
Day 3: Rabat – Chefchaouen
- Leave the capital of Morocco (Rabat) behind and journey over the Rif Mountains.
- Possibility of travel via Assilah (the town of artists) known for its painted walls by famous artists from all over the globe.
- Travel to Chefchaouen – the blue town of Morocco and spend the rest of the day at your own leisure
Day 4: Chefchaouen Sightseeing
- Stroll along the narrow streets of this delightful town and admire its white and lime-washed buildings with highly decorated and painted houses
- Relax and sip your drink in one of the local cafes at the Place of Utah Hammam and watch people pass by
- Plenty of local workshops to look around and learn about people’s lifestyle
Day 5: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
- Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Volubilis – Once a bustling city of the Roman Empire
- Your explorative journey will take you to Meknes- the capital of Morocco under the reign of the Sultan Moulay Ismail (1672–1727)
- Walk around the historical district of Meknes medina as you admire the finest gate of Bab Mansour beautifully patterned with zellij mosaics
Day 6: Fes Sightseeing
- See the protected Fes medina through the eyes of a local. An area undistracted by traffic. Strolling through its alleyways will be a feast for your senses
- You will visit the sites with cultural and historical interest including the world’s oldest university (Al Karaouine) and the Royal Palace main entrance gate.
- You will walk through the Jewish quarter (Mellah) and learn about Jewish heritage in Morocco.
- Admire the stunning views of the whole medina and drink in the new city of Fes.
Day 7: Fes – Ifarne – Ziz Valley – Errachidia – Merzouga
- Head off to the south across the Middle Atlas Mountains and via Ifrane, known as little Switzerland of Morocco due to its likeness to Swiss Alpine villages.
- Be enchanted by the Barbary Apes in the Azrou Cedar Forest – the largest in Morocco.
- You will notice how the scenery changes showing hints of the desert as you travel south, with plenty of opportunities to encounter nomadic shepherds with their flocks.
Day 8: Sahara Desert Discovery Day
- Meet nomads who still live in the Sahara Desert, owning only camel wool woven tents, under which you will have a glass of mint tea.
- Learn about desert survival skills as if you were going to mount your camel and head to Timbuktu.
- Opportunity to visit local vibrant souks where local people trade
- Guided camel ride to explore the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi and overnight at your high-end tented desert camp.
Day 9: Sahara Desert – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Skoura
- Admire what may well be the best sunrise of your life. You will appreciate the unique beauty of sand dunes rising and falling around you
- Optional hike through the luxuriant valley of Todra Gorge and appreciate stunning views of old mud villages
- Explore the best of Dades Valley from the majestic sandcastles to the unique rock formation known by locals as monkey toes.
Day 10: Skoura – Skoura
- Leisurely breakfast while admiring the Skoura oasis and its palm groves like no other parts of Morocco.
- A free day in Skoura should feel like having an off the beaten path paradise to yourself to unwind, relax and reflect on your travel experience so far and energise for what’s coming.
- Optional explorative visit to El Kalaa M’gouna – the capital of roses.
Day 11: Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains
- Explore the best of Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) and head off to the UNESCO World Heritage of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – the largest castle of Morocco along an ancient caravan route.
- Journey over the High Atlas Mountains and most importantly through the majestic Tichka Pass – the highest in Northern Africa (2260m)
- Arrive at your boutique hotel and admire the impressive views and breath-taking scenery of the Atlas Mountains
Day 12: Atlas Mountains Day
- Visit a Berber family living in the area, and comparing them with nomads you met in the Sahara Desert, you will find that the hospitality is what they have in common.
- Take a day trip to and around Toubkal National Park to unearth the lush valleys of Ourika amongst others
- Hike within local fields to the waterfalls and admire the stunning views of Berber villages
Day 13: Atlas Mountains – Essaouira
- Travel across the Argan land where you will see goats in the trees eating the unique Argan fruit. You will get to take some impressive photographs.
- Arrive at Essaouira – a very laidback town, referred to as the Jewel of the Atlantic. Explore the medina and enjoy its serenity.
- Catch the sunset from the terrace of a local restaurant overlooking the ocean while dining with your partner, as you listen to the sound of the waves against the habour walls.
Day 14: Essaouira – Marrakech
- Walk to the port in the morning to see fishermen selling their fresh fish to local business and maybe buy your own and get it cooked for your lunch.
- Stroll through the alleyways of Essaouira and enjoy the sea breeze as you pick up the scent of the locally carved thuya wood.
- Visit a women’s Argan Oil cooperative and learn about its cosmetic and medical properties.
Day 15: Marrakech Exploration
- Guided walk through the medina alleyways to explore the sites with historical and cultural interest e.g. Bahia Palace, Souks etc.
- Visit the Majorelle Gardens restored by the late Yves Saint Laurent and admire this magical hidden Oasis at the heart of Marrakech
- Explore the famous Jamaa El Fna square and the iconic Koutoubia mosque before you head to the new city for an evening drink and meal.
Day 16: Rest & Relaxation in Marrakech
- Today is designed to let you indulge and get pampered. Unwind in a Moroccan Hammam and experience the scrubbing and polishing technique designed to energise and refresh your skin. You will feel invigorated.
- Optional private cookery class with one of the best ‘’Dada chefs’’ to learn about the cuisine of Morocco and prepare your own mouth-watering delicacy.
- Free afternoon and maybe shop for any last-minute souvenirs.
Day 17: Depart Morocco and Arrive home
- Leisurely breakfast at your boutique hotel Riad before we escort you to the airport to catch your flight back home
